The Talent Acquisition Manager - University Relations is responsible for the development and execution of university recruiting for Veterinarians and Licensed Technicians. This role entails building out strong relationships in every U.S. based veterinary school program, engaging current students, soon to be graduates and Alumni in career opportunities with People, Pets and Vets. This position will be required to travel extensively, think boldly, and have a lot of FUN!
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain candidate tracking for all contacts with notes on communication method, dates contacted, and level of engagement - ensuring consistent, informative, and positive follow-up
Visit each U.S. Based Accredited program in person annually
Create and execute building a bench of new graduate DVM candidates; maintain influential relationships during and beyond the selection process
Establish Veterinary Student Ambassador Programs, being the liaison between DVM schools for SIPE/Preceptor/Extern opportunities
Research, reccomend and schedule attendance at career fairs/expos in conjunction with marketing team and recruiting team
Host additional recruiting engagements with prospective candidates
Provide analytical data to support University Recruitment programming costs and returns
Develop outstanding relationships with students and key advisors within each AVMA accredited college of Veterinary Medicine
Actively communicate and promote People, Pets and Vets mission, vision, and core values
Recruiting of LVTs/CVTs in similar model/format as above for DVMs
High-energy, personable, and enthusiastic about careers in veterinary medicine
Experience providing excellent service towards building and maintaining trust and respect with candidates and contacts
Excellent interpersonal, listening, and written and verbal communications skills, high EQ
Experience in understanding and delivering employment offers
Public speaking in small and large group settings
Experience building and executing collegiate recruiting programs from ground zero
Knowledge of veterinary industry best practices
This is predominantly a remote position but will also be based out of one of our paw-some Service Centers. You’ll largely work from your own home office but will be required to travel exensively to visit candidates and schools. Email, video conferencing, webinars and conference calls are all part of your daily communication!
